Without a doubt designs that are designed to be informative should be instantly understandable, legiable, and make perfect sense. Theres no reason to change a design thats going to alter its message just to 'jazz' it up alittle. Its a waste of tax payers money and un-needed.

DC COMICS LOGO

Of all the logos I skimmed through, the logo for DC comics really stood out and caught my eye. It seems they've really capitalized on the newly popular revision of the joker. And the smooth edges of the font revealing 2 letters is priceless.

I believe in change, I feel its neccassary to makes changes with the changing of times. As a company develops so should the face of the brand. Integrity can be kept with suttle changes.

Ice Breaker

1. I took this class to better my ability of creating graphic designs using computer programs.

2.  My past experience with computers includes owning my own laptop, windows 7 (pc)

3.  My favorite artist is Tim Hendricks, http://www.saltwatertattoo.com/  he is an inspirational tattoo artist. Also I enjoy the work of banksy, who's a world reknown mysterious street artist.

4.  I do have a favorite logo, it is a serious of weapons by a company rogue status. Although my favorite brand is actually R.C.V.A. their logo is simple and their clothes are comfortable.



5.  An interesting story about myself is that in 2006 I was stabbed in the eye and in the end result used this tragedy to anchor my focus on my dream pursuing a future in Art. You dont realize how much you need both of your eyes until you lose one.

6.  Outside of class I have access to my personal laptop, a windows 7 Dell. Before that I  didnt have much to play with.
